- Report directly to the Executive Director or Administrator
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the hospice office and assigned site
- Schedule patient visits requested by Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and Chaplains
- Ensure timely completion of scheduled visits and maintain communication with care team
- Gather and input all referral information and verify eligibility for Medicare or commercial insurance
- Serve as the scribe and facilitator for interdisciplinary team meetings
- Monitor and support accurate data entry across systems
- Assist with general administrative duties to support clinical team efficiency
- Promote company values and compassionate service in every interaction
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in an administrative support role
- 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and composure
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with office equipment and technology (computer, tablet, EMR systems)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of hospice philosophy and the needs of terminally ill patients and their families is preferred
- Previous experience in hospice, home health, or medical office administration
- Familiarity with Medicare eligibility and insurance verification processes
- EMR (Electronic Medical Record) proficiency
- Compassionate and respectful demeanor when communicating with families
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation
