Description
QMHP Family Support Coach
As a QMHP Family Support Coach, you will work alongside expectant families and families with children from birth through age 5 to promote protective factors and family strengthening strategies in Tarrant County and in surrounding rural counties. You will provide trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically competent services in home and community settings as well as virtual visits. You will also lead families in group sessions where they will continue to build their knowledge and skills to increase parenting strategies. In this role, you will help strengthen children, families, and the community.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Services field of Applied Behavior Analysis - Child Development – Counseling - Early Childhood Education - Early Childhood Intervention - Education Psychology – Gerontology - Human Growth and Development – Medicine – Nursing - Physician Assistant – Psychology - Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation & Rehab Studies - Social Work – Sociology - or Special Education. In lieu of degree listed above, completion of Bachelor’s Degree in another area with college level coursework equivalent to requirements for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential. (QMHP certification earned on the job.) Spanish-speaking a plus.
Carry and lifting requirements 15-25 pounds.
