A professional opportunity is available for a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Worker to provide comprehensive mental health services within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position is focused on supporting students social-emotional well-being throughout the current school year in Mission Viejo, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy to K-12 students addressing emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal challenges
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with school and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success and promote a positive school climate
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultation on student mental health needs
  • Deliver crisis intervention and suicide prevention services as required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or credential as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Experience working in school settings or with child and adolescent populations
  • Strong understanding of developmental, cultural, and family dynamics affecting student well-being
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Location: Mission Viejo, California
Position Type: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
