Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A school social worker position is available to provide essential support services within a middle school setting. This role focuses on enhancing students' social and emotional well-being by addressing barriers to learning and fostering a positive, inclusive school environment. The position is contractual and will continue through the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' emotional and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
  • Assist in crisis intervention and provide referrals to outside services when necessary
  • Advocate for students to ensure access to resources and support systems
  • Track student progress and maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with school policies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed or certified social worker with credentials to practice in a school setting
  • Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Knowledge of local community resources and supports beneficial for student well-being
