This full-time School Social Worker position is based onsite in Gurnee, IL, serving a K-12 educational setting throughout the school year on a contract basis. The role involves supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to foster a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
  • Conduct assessments and participate in developing individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Advocate for student welfare and connect families with community resources
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with relevant policies and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license required
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize interventions
