A full-time Social Worker is needed to provide coverage for a leave of absence at a middle school in Highwood, IL, through October 17. This contract position offers the opportunity to support the social and emotional well-being of middle school students in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop student support plans.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns.
  • Connect students and families with community resources and services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in compliance with school policies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work.
  • Relevant licensure or certification as required by the state.
  • Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social services.
