Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A contract Social Worker position is available in an elementary school setting in Chicago, IL, focusing on providing essential support services to students and their families throughout the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify student needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions and crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of cases and provide timely reports to school personnel and external agencies.
  • Advocate for students' access to community resources and services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment.
  • Strong understanding of child development, mental health issues, and family dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
