A well-established elementary school in Naperville, IL is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide vital support to students and families throughout the contract school year. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and safe educational environment that promotes the well-being and academic success of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and collaborate with school staff to develop individualized intervention plans.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between families, teachers, administrators, and external agencies to support student welfare.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide prevention and support programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all confidentiality and ethical standards related to social work practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
  • Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and educational staff.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services to support student and family needs.
