This opportunity is for a dedicated and qualified professional specializing in supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing within a K-12 school setting. Located in Cambridge, MA, this role requires onsite presence to effectively collaborate with educators and families in meeting student needs. The position is offered as a contract for the full school year with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial and reevaluations for students from kindergarten through grade 12.
  • Managing a caseload of diverse learners with hearing impairments.
  • Writing detailed assessment reports that inform individualized educational plans.
  • Attending IEP meetings to provide expert evaluation outcomes and recommendations.

Qualifications sought:

  • Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license.
  • Proven experience with comprehensive evaluation procedures for the deaf and hard of hearing population.
  • Strong report writing skills and the ability to communicate findings clearly at multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Commitment to working onsite to directly support students and staff.
