A K-12 school in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a leave contract position. This role is ideal for a professional with expertise in assessing and supporting students' mental health and learning needs within a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data to inform individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement interventions that support student success
  • Provide consultation on behavioral and mental health strategies for students
  • Support crisis intervention and assist in developing positive school climate initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies and legal requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility per state requirements
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in K-12 settings
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, mental health issues, and special education laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
