A full-time School Social Worker position is available to support K-8 students in a school setting located in Waukegan, IL, with an additional location in Antioch, IL. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY) and is designed to provide coverage for maternity leave.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing social work services to a small caseload of approximately 10 students in grades K-8.
• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans.
• Assisting students in overcoming barriers to academic success and well-being.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in social work.
• Experience working with K-8 students in a school environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a small caseload effectively.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral processes.
