An opportunity is available for a dedicated Social Worker to support the well-being and development of students within an elementary school setting in Franklin Park, IL. This contract position during the school calendar year (CSY) offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify students social and emotional needs.
  • Providing direct counseling services to individual students and small groups.
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement support plans.
  • Connecting students and families with community resources and services.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote student success.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with all regulatory requirements.

Desired qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license or certification as a School Social Worker.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of social work principles, crisis intervention, and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and foster a supportive environment.
