- Assist in the preparation and submission of biennial budgets in collaboration with the Institutional Grants Manager, UEC, SSW, and CalSWEC.
- Help develop budget proposals for grant cycles, working closely with Sponsored Programs.
- Monitor expenditures for student reimbursements, faculty/staff reimbursements, and costs for services and goods (office supplies, computer/tech equipment).
- Assist with the allocation of reimbursement rates for faculty and staff under institutional grants.
- Support the development and tracking of budgets for additional institutional grants.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with institutional grants contracts and funders, including contract management, budget justifications, and reporting.
- Help track and monitor compliance with grant-related requirements, including student contracts, program guides, and training competencies.
- Provide administrative support in tracking student data for evaluations and reports related to institutional grants.
- Stay informed on state and federal trends, policies, and legislation affecting public child welfare and institutional grant opportunities.
- Aid in the development and implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans for institutional grants.
- Collaborate and implement awarded grants
- Support the evaluation of MSW applications and the review of grant stipend applications.
- Assist with the selection process for stipends, collaborating with the stipend selection committee and conducting interviews as necessary.
- Monitor application status and compliance for student stipends awarded through institutional grants.
- Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts for students involved in institutional grants
- Help review and revise outreach materials to align with individual grant goals and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with county and community partners to maintain strong relationships and support grant objectives.
- Support field practicum placements for placements related to other institutional grants.
- Collaborate with the practicum education team to ensure that practicum sites meet the requirements outlined in institutional grant contracts.
- Provide assistance in the development and tracking of practicum education curriculum and compliance with grant-related competencies
- Education:
- Master of Social Work from an accredited program.
- Experience:
- Two years practice experience post MSW completion.
- One year in program management, coordination or project management.
- Other:
- Recognize and work effectively within a diverse university environment, respecting multicultural, multi-sexed, and multi-aged value systems.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, university administrators, external partners, and grant stakeholders.
- Rapidly acquire knowledge of the university's operations, programs, and overall functions, particularly as they relate to grants and fiscal management.
- Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions and take action that impacts grant-related programs or services across multiple areas.
- Proficiency with appropriate software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Reliability, attention to detail, strong self-initiative, and the ability to work independently.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a strong teaming skills.
- One year of experience in higher education.
- Experience in grant management, program implementation, or compliance monitoring.
