Arise Recovery Centers is seeking a master's level licensed therapist to join our team as a Substance Abuse Counselor for our new Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This position is responsible for providing drug and alcohol assessments and treatment to adult clients who are struggling with substance use. The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide individual, group, and family counseling, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and maintain client charts and documentation. Two of the five group sessions per week will be from 6-9pm in the evenings – all others will be during traditional business hours (8-5). Additionally, this position will evaluate clients for admission to outpatient treatment and report on their progress to referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients who are struggling with substance use.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Evaluate clients for admission to PHP and IOP level treatment and report on their progress to referral sources.
- Maintain client charts and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
- Provide follow-up services to clients as needed.
- Opportunity for curriculum development and coordinating on site participation from external providers and resources fostering holistic care for PHP clients.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and case conferences.
Key Requirements:
- Must have a master's license in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- Must have at least one year of experience treating PHP or Residential level of care for substance use disorders.
- Must be able to run group sessions four days per week.
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a strong commitment to client-centered care and a willingness to work collaboratively with clients, their families and other multidisciplinary providers.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
