Now Hiring: Host Home Care Coordinator – Rochester, NH
Are you passionate about housing justice, community building, and supporting young adults on their path to stability? Join Waypoint’s Host Home Program as a Care Coordinator and become a vital connector between young adults in need and the generous hosts who open their homes to them.
As a Host Home Coordinator, you’ll:
- Recruit and train community members to serve as host families for young adults (ages 18–25) who need short-term housing (1–12 months).
- Provide intensive, ongoing support to both the young adults and their host families—you're their go-to resource, advocate, and coach.
- Help young adults in Merrimack and Strafford Counties navigate toward long-term stability through collaborative, person-centered planning.
- Engage with vulnerable populations around mental health, substance use, sexual health, and other critical life areas—offering support without judgment.
What we’re looking for:
✔️ A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social services, housing, or community organizing (lived experience welcomed!)
✔️ Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations
✔️ Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
✔️ A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (with insurance: $50k/$100k liability minimum)
✔️ Ability to pass a background check (past legal involvement does not automatically disqualify you)
✨ This is meaningful, life-changing work where you’ll directly impact the lives of youth while strengthening communities. If you believe that everyone deserves a safe place to land and someone in their corner, we want to hear from you.
Apply now at https://www.waypointnh.org/jobs! Help us provide a soft place to land and a strong place to launch.
