A school district in Kent, WA, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support elementary students during the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply psychological expertise within an educational setting, helping to assess and support student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments focused on academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide consultation and counseling services to students and staff as needed.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and support initiatives aimed at promoting a positive school climate.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports documenting assessments and services.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree and certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in school settings.
  • Strong understanding of psychoeducational assessment tools and intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload responsibilities effectively.
