Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate After-School Basketball Coach/Counselor to join our team! This individual will lead basketball sessions, encourage skill development, and ensure a positive and engaging experience for children aged 4-12. The ideal candidate will have a love for sports, strong leadership abilities, and a genuine passion for working with kids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead after-school basketball sessions for children, teaching basketball fundamentals and sportsmanship.
  • Create a fun and inclusive environment where kids can develop basketball skills and teamwork.
  • Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Encourage children’s participation in games and activities, adapting to different skill levels.
  • Assist with homework help and snack time as needed.
  • Communicate any behavioral concerns or incidents to parents and program managers.
  • Help set up and clean up basketball equipment and the activity space.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a sports or after-school program.
  • Strong basketball knowledge and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage groups of children in a structured and safe environment.
  • A positive, energetic attitude and a passion for teaching and mentoring children.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus but not required.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM (additional hours available for special events and camps).

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
