Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary, paid biweekly

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate counselor to provide evidence-based addiction treatment services. Candidates at any CADC certification level—from CADC-R through CADC III—are encouraged to apply. Certification level will inform role responsibilities and compensation.

Key Responsibilities (based on certification level)

  • Conduct individual, group, and family substance use counseling
  • Develop and update treatment plans aligning with ASAM criteria
  • Perform intake assessments, risk evaluations, and discharge planning
  • Provide referrals, case management, relapse prevention education
  • Complete accurate documentation, outcome tracking, and quality assurance reporting
  • Advanced-level (CADC‑II/III) may also undertake clinical supervision and program development responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications (One of the following):

  • CADC‑R (Registered) status, with certification (CADC‑I, II, or III) obtainable within 1 year of hire
  • CADC‑I credential: typically requires high school/GED / some college, 150 hours education, and ~1,000 supervised practice hours
  • CADC‑II credential: generally requires bachelor’s degree, 4,000–6,000 supervised practice hours, and ~300 hours coursework
  • CADC‑III credential: master’s degree plus 6,000 supervised hours and advanced counseling education areas
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for roles involving travel or community outreach

Preferred / Additional Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or related field preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Active enrollment in CADC education for those not yet certified, with documentation of coursework progress
