About Job

This contract opportunity is for a School Psychologist to serve elementary students in the Stratford, CT area, including potential assignments in surrounding locations. The role focuses on conducting evaluations with an emphasis on initial and triennial assessments. The position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and triennial psychoeducational evaluations for elementary-aged students.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to interpret assessment results and assist in developing appropriate educational plans.
  • Manage evaluation caseloads efficiently in compliance with district and state guidelines.
  • Provide support and consultation regarding students learning and behavioral needs as related to evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all evaluations conducted.

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut 070 School Psychologist certification/license required.
  • Experience in conducting initial and triennial evaluations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and educational regulations.
  • Ability to work on-site; virtual or hybrid arrangements are not available.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work within an elementary school setting and collaborate across the district.
  • Chromebook or similar device will be provided to support workflow.

Location & Schedule:

  • Primary assignment at Franklin Elementary School with potential additional evaluations throughout the district.
  • Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
  • Position based in Stratford, CT and surrounding areas.
