Position Summary:
The role of a Behavior Interventionist at Morley Stanwood is pivotal in fostering a supportive learning
environment. This professional is responsible for creating and managing individualized behavior intervention
plans tailored to meet the unique needs of students facing behavioral challenges. By collaborating with
educators, parents, and support staff, the behavior interventionist conducts assessments to identify specific
issues and develop targeted strategies to promote positive behavior. Implementation of these plans includes
monitoring student progress, providing direct support, and adjusting interventions as necessary.
Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/Work experiences that closely relates to student behaviors
• Valid Driver’s license
• Previous school experience preferred

Professional Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of student behaviors.
• Based on the assessment data, interventionists are responsible for creating individualized

behavior intervention plans (BIPs).

• Implement the outlined strategies in collaboration with teachers and support staff.
• Continuously monitor and adjust behavior intervention plans.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Assist in developing the PBIS system.
• Assist in developing the MTSS system.
