Position Description:

The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (OGPS) within the Medical School is looking to hire a Mental Health Clinician as a member of the Counseling and Well-Being team. This position promotes student learning and development, providing psychological and counseling services of a remedial, preventive, and developmental nature through direct and indirect (consultation) contacts with students, faculty, and staff (both individually and in groups) within the Medical School. The Mental Health Clinician reports to the Counseling and Well-Being Program Manager/Lead Mental Health Clinician.


The duties and responsibilities for this position can be categorized into five main domains, applying specialized knowledge in cultural competencies and leadership development.

  1. Providing individual counseling services to students and trainees.
  2. Providing faculty and departmental consultations.
  3. Developing and facilitating group presentations & outreach programming.
  4. Completing special projects.
  5. Completing general administration tasks.


Experience working in higher education and with graduate students is ideal.
