A challenging opportunity is available for a skilled Social Worker to support K-12 students during a leave contract located in Des Plaines, IL. This position involves providing essential social work services within a school setting, addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students to promote their academic success and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students social and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans and interventions.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students facing personal or family challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work (MSW preferred).
  • Licensure or eligibility to practice as a Social Worker in Illinois.
  • Experience working in K-12 school environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Location:This role is based in a K-12 school in Des Plaines, Illinois.
