About Job

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BCBA/BCaBA certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
  • Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychology or related field
  • At least 2 years holding certification
  • At least 2 years experience in designing, supervising, and implementing behavior management services
  • Experience with individuals of all ages and various developmental disabilities and mental illness preferred
  • Experience working in residential facilities or group homes not required but preferred

LOCATION: Hybrid

The Behavior Analyst will work remotely and on-site at residential facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Residential facilities are located in Tulare and Visalia.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments
  • Create Behavior Plans
  • Create emergency plans
  • Provide training to all facility/home support staff that include
  • Initial behavior plan training
  • On-going behavior plan training
  • Quality assurance and interobserver agreement measures
  • Monitor data and progress and adjust all goals and plans as necessary based on the data shown
  • Participate in all required meetings
  • Where appropriate and necessary, travel to facilities to conduct direct observations, interviews, etc.
  • Perform other duties assigned

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Fluent in general use of Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Fluent in general use of cell phones and applications (e.g., Google Voice, Telegram)
  • Competent in the use and command of the English language
  • Experienced in speaking and presenting oneself professionally to a variety of people, disciplines, and personalities.
  • Proficient in communication across different modalities (e.g., email, phone, message) that is attentive and prompt
  • Open to feedback, proactive in task completion, enthusiastic and humbled to continuously learn regardless of experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This Behavior Analyst position is open to BCBAs or BCaBAs in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and with 2 years of experience with their certification. The Behavior Analyst oversees behavior management programs in Enhanced Behavior Support Homes and/or Community Crisis Homes and is responsible for assessment, program development, staff training, and client progress. This clinician works directly with the residential care provider and reports directly to the Executive Director. They must work in collaboration with a variety of other agencies and disciplines which include (but are not limited to): Client family members, California Regional Centers, the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Community Care Licensing (CCLD), and Office of Clients Rights (OCRA).

A good candidate for this position will be persistent in the pursuit of improvement in their behavior programs. They will have a solid repertoire in the use of Microsoft 365, notably in Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint. They will have a confident and assertive approach to working with others while always remaining open to useful feedback.
