An opportunity is available for a dedicated Social Worker to support K-12 students during a leave contract in a Northbrook, IL school setting. This role focuses on fostering student well-being by addressing emotional, social, and behavioral challenges to help students succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students social, emotional, and mental health needs
• Develop and implement individualized support plans and interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate resources and services
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
• Facilitate group sessions on topics such as social skills, coping strategies, and conflict resolution
• Maintain thorough and confidential case documentation
• Connect students and families with community agencies and resources to support their needs

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Licensed or license-eligible as a School Social Worker
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment preferred
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and educational systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
• Compassionate and patient approach toward students and families
