Job Description
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serving as a member of the clinical interdisciplinary team on the inpatient psychiatric service conducting initial assessment, documenting biopsychosocial assessments, formulation and disposition, developing comprehensive treatment plans, facilitating supportive, psychoeducational and insight-oriented psychotherapeutic interventions, participating and facilitating weekly supervision, providing crisis interventions to high-risk patients, engaging with and providing support to families, and engaging them as partners in recovery.
- Identifying and collaborating with existing support systems, facilitating community referrals as needed, collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment team to develop most appropriate case disposition, documenting all interventions within the required regulatory timeframes.
- Partnering with OMH, DHS, ACS and OPWDD on behalf of patients served.
- Candidate may be assigned to work in other clinical areas as needed when patient care needs arise
- Valid license as an LCSW issued by the NYSED and one (1) year of supervisory experience utilizing casework, group work and/or community organization methodologies.
