General Purpose, Responsibilities
Responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment – typically track dozers – according to designated criteria. Works around draglines building level pad to grade with GPS, cuts key, pulls dragline power cable. Other qualifications may also include scraper, grader and rubber-tired dozer. Inspects equipment before operating and ensures that it is in safe, operable condition. All work will be preformed in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies for the mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity, and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three years of surface mining experience, working with draglines.
- One to three years of heavy equipment operation.
