Located in the heart of Hillcrest, our clinic is deeply rooted in the LGBTQ+ community and committed to culturally competent, inclusive care.We offer a full spectrum of services, including state-of-the-art medical treatment, behavioral health, and social support, all integrated with a nationally recognized research program.We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Social Worker III to join our interdisciplinary team. Under general supervision, this role provides advanced clinical social work services and case management, including:
Annual Full Pay Range: $95,626 - $125,990 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $45.80 - $60.34
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).

Under general supervision, this role provides advanced clinical social work services and case management, including:
- Conducting psychosocial assessments and developing individualized care plans.
- Providing crisis intervention, mandated reporting, and short-term counseling.
- Coordinating care across medical, behavioral health, and community systems.
- Assisting patients with navigation of healthcare systems and access to resources such as housing, food, transportation, and financial assistance
- Placing referrals to internal and external services, and following up to ensure continuity of care.
- Supporting patients in overcoming barriers to care and promoting engagement in treatment.
- Supervising and mentoring social work interns, including oversight of clinical tasks and professional development.
- Participating in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and community outreach
- This position plays a key role in supporting patients’ access to care, improving health outcomes, and promoting health equity.

- A Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work.

- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - issued by the state of California.
- Two (2) or more years of recent experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Experience working with individuals living with HIV and/or other marginalized or at-risk populations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
