The Psychiatric Technician plays a vital role in the mental health care team, providing essential support to patients experiencing psychiatric disorders. Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with psychiatric conditions.
• Monitor patient behavior and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication protocols.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Participate in treatment planning and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct patient observations to assess mental status and emotional well-being.
• Support patients in daily living activities, fostering independence and dignity.

Skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
