About Job

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families. This role involves providing support and guidance through various therapeutic techniques, case management, and community resources. The Social Worker will work with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective case management.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment summaries.
  • Engage in clinical research and data collection to enhance service delivery and contribute to ongoing program evaluation.
  • Offer support for patients dealing with PTSD, addiction issues, or developmental disabilities through specialized therapeutic approaches.
  • Provide home and community care services as needed to support clients in their environments.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with best practices in social work.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Valid state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience working with children and families in various settings, including hospitals or community organizations.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient patient record management.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in behavioral therapy techniques, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and crisis management strategies.
  • Strong understanding of mental health issues, including geriatrics care, Alzheimer’s care, and special education needs.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on individual client assessments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
