About Job

An education network in Western New York is actively seeking a new Social Worker (LMSW) to join their staff at one of their schools in Rochester.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8am to 4pm
  • Patient Population: Ages 5-22, IDD

Responsibilities:

  • Participating as a member of the admissions team
  • Completing social service assessments
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of the master problem list and social work treatment plans and identifying appropriate short and long-term social service goals for clients
  • Participating in developing and carrying out behavior management programs as indicated
  • Providing social work assessment, counseling, and referral as defined in the client's treatment plan

Requirements:

  • Licensed Master's Degree in Social Work (LMSW)

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience providing Social Services to children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)
  • Genuine interest in working with the clients through their Rehabilitative and Psychosocial Treatment process
