About Job
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health conditions
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans and interventions
- Conduct assessments and collect data on client progress
- Facilitate therapy sessions using various modalities such as art therapy, dance therapy, and gender issues counseling
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Assist with clinical research projects and data collection
- Provide support and guidance to individuals with autism, chronic pain, and other specific needs
- Assist with special education services and provide therapy in educational settings
- Earn clinical hours towards Mental Health Counseling Licensure
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling required - Mental Health Counseling Limited Permit upon start date required
- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions through previous employment or internship
- Beginner knowledge of therapeutic models such as CBT, DBT, ACT, SFBT, or other counseling modalities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Ability to work independently in a private practice setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
