Description:

We are looking for a proactive and organized HR Specialist to join our team and support the needs of a dynamic commercial roofing operation. This role is primarily responsible for leading active recruitment efforts both online and in-person, and will also support the design and management of performance evaluation systems and compensation structures. The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting with field crews, operations staff, and leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition (60% Focus):

· Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract top talent for field, service, and office roles within commercial roofing.

· Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, job fairs, trade schools, and employee referrals.

· Manage the full recruitment process including job postings, screenings, interview scheduling, offer letters, and pre-employment requirements.

· Attend and represent the company at hiring events, trade shows, and workforce development programs.

· Build and maintain a talent pipeline for high-demand roles such as roofers, service techs, superintendents, estimators, and project managers.

· Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs and adjust recruiting strategies accordingly.

Performance & Compensation Programs (30% Focus):

· Assist in developing and maintaining a structured performance review process that supports employee growth and accountability.

· Track evaluation deadlines and work with managers to ensure consistent documentation and timely reviews.

· Support the creation and implementation of compensation plans, including pay ranges, bonuses, and merit increases, that support the growth and accountability programs.

· Conduct wage benchmarking and internal pay equity reviews, with consideration for local market rates and roofing industry standards.

General HR Support (10%):

· Serve as backup for onboarding processes, ensuring new hires receive appropriate orientation, safety training, and new hire documentation when the primary coordinator is unavailable.

· Help maintain compliance with employment laws, company policies, and industry best practices.

· Assist with employee relations, engagement initiatives, and general HR administration as needed.

· Participation in Insurance, Safety, and other audits.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 2+ years of HR experience, with a strong emphasis on recruiting; construction or skilled trades industry experience preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across field and office teams.

· Working knowledge of performance management processes and compensation fundamentals.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS).

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience recruiting for skilled labor roles such as roofers, foremen, and superintendents.

· Knowledge of prevailing wage laws.

· Spanish-speaking abilities are a strong asset but not required.

· SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred.

Work Environment:

Office-based in Lebanon with occasional travel to job sites, hiring events, and community outreach programs.
