About Job

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
Help individuals reclaim their lives through impactful, recovery-centered care.

About Us
As a proud division of The 4C Company of NC, LLC, we’ve been a trusted leader in holistic healthcare across the Charlotte and Concord communities for over 19 years. Our mission is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that empowers individuals and families to thrive. We’re excited to expand our behavioral health services with new SAIOP (Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program) and SACOT (Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment) programs—and we’re looking for a passionate Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to join our team.

Why Join Us?
You’ll work in a supportive, team-based environment where your voice matters, your skills are valued, and your work directly supports recovery and lasting transformation. This is more than a job—it’s a purpose-driven career.

What You’ll Do:
Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) or Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), the CADC will support individuals in our SAIOP and SACOT programs by facilitating therapeutic group sessions and helping clients build strong foundations for long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging, evidence-based group therapy, psychoeducational, and activity-based sessions.
  • Deliver interventions aligned with Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) using CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Matrix Model, and 12-Step Facilitation.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and therapeutic group environment that encourages open participation.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to shape individualized treatment plans and support relapse prevention.
  • Track and document client attendance, participation, and behavioral observations according to Medicaid and agency standards.
  • Coordinate referrals and resources to address client needs (e.g., housing, employment, healthcare).
  • Participate in supervision, clinical team meetings, and training sessions.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and client confidentiality at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Required: Active CADC credential in North Carolina.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in outpatient substance use treatment (SAIOP/SACOT experience a plus).
  • Skills: Strong group facilitation, documentation accuracy, and understanding of recovery principles.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with ASAM Levels of Care and Medicaid service documentation.
  • Dependable, compassionate, and committed to making a difference.

Work Schedule:

  • SAIOP Day Program: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 1:45 PM
  • SACOT Evening Program: Monday–Friday, schedule TBD

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Ongoing professional development and supervision
