Job Summary:
The Quality Control Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the quality control team to ensure products meet required quality standards before reaching customers. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, internal procedures, and customer expectations through supervision, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise quality control inspectors and technicians across shifts or production lines.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and policies.
- Monitor production processes and perform inspections at various stages.
- Ensure testing methods and results meet company and industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA).
- Maintain records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Identify non-conformances, investigate root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Train and mentor QC team members on inspection techniques, standards, and safety.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to management.
- Support audits by internal teams or external agencies/customers.
