Position Description

Work Schedule: Full Time

Work Location: Genomic Medicine - Volker Hall

To work directly with the Genetic Counselor in providing genetic information to referring physicians and other healthcare professionals and to coordinate genetic testing and results. To assist with counseling support for various genetics clinics. To coordinate care for patients with undiagnosed severe chronic medical conditions and to work closely with the UAB Undiagnosed Diseases Program (UDP) team including physicians, nurse practitioners and support staff.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Health Science or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
