Southland Health Services is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our compassionate and growing team. This position focuses primarily on medication management with minimal counseling during visits, supporting both adolescents and adults with a range of mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management visits
• Diagnose and manage mental health conditions through evidence-based care
• Provide brief supportive counseling as clinically appropriate
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
• Collaborate with other mental health providers and staff for holistic care
• Offer in-person or telehealth services depending on patient needs

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP license in TN
• Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Ability to work independently with clinical support
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care

Preferred Experience

• Telehealth experience (preferred but not required)
• Experience in outpatient psychiatry or related clinical setting
