We are excited to partner with a reputable educational services client in San Antonio, TX, to hire a School Psychologist for a 20-week contract. This position offers competitive weekly compensation of up to $68/hr, based on experience, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school community.Job Description:
As a School Psychologist, you will work with students, parents, and educators to address a wide range of psychological, behavioral, and academic challenges. You will be responsible for assessing students' mental health, providing counseling, and developing strategies to improve learning and emotional well-being. This role involves close collaboration with other professionals in the school setting, as well as supporting students' overall development.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for students
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop strategies to support students' academic and behavioral success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and 504 meetings
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students in acute emotional distress
- Help create a positive and supportive school environment for all students
- Provide professional development and guidance to teachers on student mental health and behavioral issues
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Current Texas State Certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and strategies for student evaluation
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with crisis intervention and behavior management
- Weekly compensation up to $68/hr, depending on experience
- 20-week contract duration with potential for extension
