We're currently seeking a dedicated Licensed School Social Worker ($50-55/hour) to support K-5 students in the McHenry, IL area.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work
  • PEL or Professional Educator's license with the school social work endorsement

Role Overview:
As a School Social Worker, you'll provide critical support to students. You'll collaborate with another social worker to address students' social-emotional needs, develop intervention strategies, and support their academic success. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:

  • Start on August 14th and work full time through May 28, 2026
  • Daily hours: 8:45-4:05 (staff report at 8:05 on Wednesdays for PD but this is not required)
  • You will work 7 hours and 20 minutes per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Caseload will consist of all elementary grades K-5th
  • You will be supporting 3 self-contained SES classrooms for students with emotional and behavioral challenges
  • There are currently 16 students in this program along with another full-time social worker supporting this program too

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group social work services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
  • Conduct assessments and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
