Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) and/or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality psychiatric rehabilitation services that promote recovery and wellness for individuals experiencing serious mental illness.

The successful candidate will provide individualized support, counseling, and rehabilitation interventions, helping clients build skills necessary for independent living, community involvement, and personal empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct psychiatric rehabilitation services and counseling to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, in accordance with established protocols and individual service plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, recovery needs, strengths, and barriers.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized rehabilitation and recovery plans collaboratively with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitate skill-building groups and individual sessions focusing on social skills, coping strategies, vocational skills, and daily living skills.
  • Assist clients in goal setting, problem-solving, and crisis intervention to foster community integration and improve functioning.
  • Coordinate care and collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment approaches.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency regulations, as well as ethical standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients for community resources, housing, education, and employment opportunities.
  • Promote a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • Current and valid certification as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP).
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with individuals with serious mental illness in a psychiatric rehabilitation or mental health counseling setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles, recovery models, and community-based mental health services.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, counseling, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to client-centered, recovery-oriented care.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in group facilitation and skills training.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible scheduling available within the range of 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Primarily in-person at Helping Hands PRP Inc. facility.
