Ongoing Social Worker responsibilities include but are not limited to: completes family and child assessments to identify family dynamics and risk factors. Continually monitors families for safety and well-being of children. Provides crisis intervention and assesses family situations resulting in the initiation of services and short/long-term goals. Provides intensive counseling and parenting skills instruction to families in child abuse and neglect situations. Performs on-call duties as scheduled. Works with legal and law enforcement agencies. Presents testimony in court.

A successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Education, or other behavioral science field. Experience (including internships) working with at-risk families in areas such as child welfare, substance abuse, mental health, and/or behavior management preferred. Knowledge of community resources helpful.

Additional qualifications include the ability to work overtime and on-call hours as necessary. Must have physical dexterity/fitness to carry small children, climb stairs, etc. Driving is an essential function of this position. Must have valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record as determined by Licking County Government. Successful drug screen and background check required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.72 - $30.65 per hour
