Maximus is seeking a Senior Outreach Counselor to support our vocational training initiatives. This hybrid position plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships with training site providers, supporting program participants, and ensuring the seamless coordination of administrative and payment processes. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and passionate about workforce development.
Location: Hybrid – Cuyahoga County, OH (Must reside in Cuyahoga County)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Alternating weekly: one week remote, one week onsite

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. - Conduct regular one-on-one or group training sessions for existing providers, necessitating travel.
- Attend and actively participate in recruitment events to attract new providers to the program.
- Handle escalated provider issues efficiently and effectively.
- Address urgent concerns related to high visibility providers, ensuring swift resolutions.
- Offer ongoing support to designated providers as assigned.
- Collaborate with client, fellow contractors, and stakeholders to communicate and implement - operational policy changes.
- Stay updated on project details and changes.
- Extensive travel is an inherent part of the role.
- Fulfill additional assignments as directed by management.
- Conduct outreach to identify and secure new training sites for program participants.
- Promote vocational training opportunities and build strong partnerships with providers.
- Maintain consistent communication with training site contacts to ensure coordination and support.
- Collect participant timesheets from training locations on a regular schedule.
- Submit timesheets to the appropriate counselors or departments for funding and processing.
- Act as a liaison between training providers and the accounts payable team to resolve payment or administrative issues.
- Attend regular meetings with the manager to share progress, discuss challenges, and align on outreach goals.
- High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Background in social work or a related field, preferred
- History of successfully managing schedules and staying organized, preferred
- Track record of accurate data entry and documentation, preferred
