Provide care and support for rehabilitation patients and individuals admitted to Zale, with a primary focus on the sickle cell patient population.
Required
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Experience <1 year Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience.
- Education Master's Degree in Music Therapy
- Experience 2 years to three (3) years of job related experience.
- Licenses and Certifications Neurologic Music Therapy Certificate
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing evidence-based music therapy interventions and protocols based on best practices and patient/family needs, to include, but not limited to: psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical concerns.
- Create and manage patient treatment plans, maintain patient documentation, develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the health care team.
- Collaborate on program planning and growth.
- Maintain all departmental standards and continuing responsibilities.
- Educate staff across numerous disciplines about the benefits of music therapy with regard to psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical concerns.
