Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges, assisting them in their recovery journey. You will work closely with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping to implement treatment plans and providing therapeutic support under the guidance of licensed mental health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment of patients' mental health needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes to the clinical team.
• Facilitate therapeutic activities, including cognitive behavioral therapy sessions and group discussions.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards.
• Provide support during crisis situations, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients.
• Engage with children and adolescents, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques tailored to their age group.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in mental health care.

Skills

• Proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.
• Experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Strong background in social work principles and practices.
• Familiarity with patient assessment methodologies.
• Ability to maintain thorough medical documentation as per regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
• Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding of their unique needs.
