Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor or Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a passion for helping individuals navigate their psychological challenges. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children and adults, providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support. The Psychologist will be responsible for assessing clients' mental health needs and developing tailored treatment plans to promote their well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for clients.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.
  • Offer crisis intervention services to clients in urgent situations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Stay updated on the latest research in psychology, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health.
  • Provide support and guidance to families of clients, particularly those with children or individuals with disabilities.
  • Educate clients about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources.

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure to practice as a Psychologist.
  • Experience working with children is preferred; experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques and crisis management strategies.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for mental health diagnoses.
  • Strong skills in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
