Winchester School District is seeking a 1.0FTE Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
The BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) provides behavioral support and interventions for students with disabilities across two schools. This role involves developing, monitoring and analyzing behavior plans, conducting assessments, training staff, and collaborating with educators and families.
- Consult with school-based staff regarding best practices and provide individualized recommendations as part of the child’s IEP.
- Attend IEP meetings and present evaluation data to inform the creation of appropriate behavioral goals for students.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the function of challenging behaviors and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide direct support, oversight and interventions to students and staff, including implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), teaching social skills, and providing positive behavior supports.
- Train school staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators, on behavioral principles, strategies, data collection and the implementation of BIPs.
- Assist school-based staff with development and analysis of Discrete Trial Curriculum and programming materials and data collection systems.
- Collect and analyze data on student behavior to monitor progress, make data-based decisions, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Provide professional development and training to staff related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and behavioral supports.
- Collaborate with school teams, including special education staff, general education teachers, and related service providers to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
Must hold a valid BCBA certification
