A K-12 School Psychologist is needed for a full academic year contract position in New Orleans, LA. This role involves supporting the psychological and educational wellbeing of students within a K-12 school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning needs and disabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and support services to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with data collection and reporting.
- Promote a positive school climate through prevention and early intervention programs.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential/license.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines efficiently.
