Role Description:
This is a Full or Part time hybrid role for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at BrightSpire Health.
BrightSpire Health currently has 3 offices in Oregon:
-Gladstone
-NE Portland
-Beaverton
Responsibilities:
- Obtain informed consent and prioritize the client’s agency and safety.
- Inform clients about their rights, including their right to refuse treatment.
- Maintain client confidentiality of all client information including keeping client records confidential and secure, and that any sharing of information is done in accordance with the client’s wishes and legal requirements.
- Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessment and care that includes consideration of the client’s social, cultural, and historical contexts, as well as their mental and physical health status.
- Complete timely documentation in accordance with the OARs and BrightSpire Health Employee Handbook in a provided electronic health record.
- Collaborate with the client to co-create a personalized care plan that is respectful of their autonomy and priorities.
- Use evidence-informed and culturally responsive practices that prioritize client empowerment and well-being.
- Provide care coordination, referrals when needed, timely telephone contact with clients, their families, primary care physicians and other outside organizations.
- Engage in ongoing education and self-reflection to critically examine and challenge systemic injustices in the mental health system.
- Use a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, choice, healing, and empowerment.
- Honor the core ethical principles of respecting the client's right to self-determination, beneficence, no maleficence, and justice.
- Maintain self-care to ensure ability to perform all duties in an emotionally healthy stance.
- Maintain license and all licensing requirements including completion of required CEUs and trainings.
- Follow all Ethical standards of licensing board or the respective licensing board of the therapist and stay in good standing with the board.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Treatment Planning, Mental Health Assessment, and Providing Direct Client Care.
- Master's Degree in the field of Psychology, Social Work or Counseling.
- LPC, LMFT, LCSW or Licensed Psychologist with the state of Oregon licensing board.
- Experience treating a wide array of mental/behavioral health diagnoses.
- Experience with electronic health record systems.
