A K-12 school in Ypsilanti, MI, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full academic year contract. This role offers the opportunity to support student development and well-being through comprehensive psychological services within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify student needs and guide intervention strategies
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support for students
- Implement and monitor evidence-based interventions to promote academic and emotional success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional insights to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all relevant federal and state regulations
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
- Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and special education processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and community resources
