Job Summary
Baptist Health System is seeking a Consultation-Liaison psychologist to join an established Psychology Consultation-Liaison team. This lifespan position provides services across 5 adult and 1 pediatric hospital with diverse patient populations and presenting conditions. The position entails conducting brief assessments in an acute hospital setting, providing timely feedback to the medical team, and serving as a liaison between the medical inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. The psychologist will collaborate with the medical teams for Internal Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Cardiology, Pediatric Trauma, Obstetrics, and Addiction Medicine to provide excellent multi-disciplinary care. The primary patient populations are stroke, complex medical conditions, maternal mental health, pediatric trauma, and substance abuse. The Psychology Consultation-Liaison team utilizes a flexible approach that includes bedside assessments and telehealth services. Competency in providing care to patients across the lifespan from pediatrics to geriatrics is highly desirable, as well as experience with clinical health and/or rehabilitation psychology and experience with medical populations. There are opportunities to participate in education and training of behavioral health and medical trainees. Candidates must hold a Ph.D or Psy.D. Applicants are to be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
