A full-time School Psychologist opportunity is available in Kansas City, MO, serving elementary students from kindergarten through 5th grade across three school sites. This contract position runs from August 1st through the last day of school in May and involves a 5-day workweek with 8-hour days.
Responsibilities include conducting initial evaluations, providing assistance with re-evaluations, and administering assessments to support student development and learning outcomes. The caseload typically ranges from 40 to 60 initial evaluations and/or re-evaluations, with teachers managing some re-evaluation responsibilities. This role is vital in collaborating with educators, families, and staff to foster a positive educational environment tailored to each childs needs.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Licensed or credentialed School Psychologist with experience in elementary school settings
- Proficiency in conducting initial psychological evaluations and administering assessments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of educational and psychological best practices for K-5 students
